1.   Read 4:43-45. When Jesus arrived in Galillee, What kind of reception did he find? (45) Why was Jesus not so pleased with the Galilean welcome? ( 48, Jn 2:23-25) How was the Galileans different from the Samaritans? (4:42)

2.   Read 4:46-48. What was the official's problem? How did Jesus respond to this man's request? (48) Did he sound as if he were going to help the man?

3.   Read 4:49-50. How did the official respond? (49) What did Jesus promise him? (50a) How did the man show his faith in Jesus' promise (50b) Why might it have been hard to obey?

4.   Why was it important to obey Jesus’ word? (Jn 5:24, He 11:8) Read 4:51-54. Who met him on the way home, with what good news? (51) Why did he ask the time? What can we learn from this official?
