Key Verses: 11:28-30

1. Look at verses 1-6. Where was John the Baptist? (14:3) Why did John send his disciples to Jesus? How did Jesus answer John's question? (4-6) What did it mean to John? 

2. Look at verses 7-15. What did Jesus remind the crowd about John? What did Jesus teach about John's greatness?

What does it mean that the kingdom advancing forcefully? In what way was John a forceful man?

3. Look at verses 16-19. How did Jesus see the people of his time? How did the people criticize both Jesus and John?  How does this children’s game reveal the crowds indifference and lack of interest in truth?

4. Look at verses 20-24. Where were Korazin, Bethsaida, Capernaum, Tyre, and Sidon? Why did Jesus rebuke them? What does it mean to repent? What is the fate of those who reject the message of the kingdom of God?

5. Look at verses 25-27. Why was Jesus full of praise and joy, even though his message was rejected? How did Jesus comfort himself? What does this mean?

6. Look at verses 28-30. What was Jesus' gracious invitation to sinful people?  How does he comfort and bless those who come to him?
